The OC Black Chamber Black History Future Leadership Luncheon was a sold out success and a beautiful way to close out Black History Month. The event was held at the City National Grove of Anaheim.
The luncheon, planned as a networking event, with over 100 students, had direct access to Orange County leaders in a wide variety of occupations and career fields that also brought together amazing leaders in OC and reminded everyone in attendance the role we play in uplifting our communities. Students came from all communities and several countries.
“These Black Chamber events get better every time, said an exuberant Erica Leah, longtime student, supporter and advocate for the Black Chamber of OC. “So cool to see the kids finding mentors & taking action to their futures. The amount of torch bearers in one room just had me in awe! So many women of color breaking boundaries with so many firsts!”
Also In attendance were local educational campuses (high schools, community colleges, and four-year universities) that came to participate and network with community business representatives and organizational leaders and hosted staff resource tables with employment information and internship opportunities. Many community-based non-profit organization and church leaders to join key business representatives to participate in this event
Honorable Judges, Federal, State and Local Legislators and educators, were highlighted and announced for their historical dedicated service and commitment to our diverse community and specifically for positively impacting the quality of life in Orange County.
