From August 21 – 24, 2018 more than 1,000 aviation change makers and thought leaders convened to participate in AMAC’s 34th Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference: Inspiring Possibilities in Seattle, Washington. Hosted by the Seattle – Tacoma International Airport, this SOLD out conference continues to be AMAC’s premier aviation industry event of the year – serving as a hub for education, advocacy and networking opportunities that promote diversity and inclusion in airports.

Conference key events included: Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) /Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Liaison Officer, Program Administrators and Procurement Professionals Training; the Bill Walker Memorial Golf Tournament – benefitting the AMAC Foundation’s Scholarship program; Educational Sessions; Exhibit Hall; Business Matchmaking – connecting small businesses with Airports, Agencies and Primes to fulfill their procurement needs; Catalyst Awards Luncheon – honoring members who have made outstanding contributions to further the goals of AMAC; Networking Receptions; Airport Director’s 20/20 Forum; Inspiring Possibilities Scholarship Luncheon; Workshops and Celebrating Women in Aviation Breakfast – benefitting the AMAC Foundation and celebrating the successes of women in aviation-related enterprises.
New this year, AMAC offered four tracks – Track 1: Concessions, Track 2: Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC), Track 3: Professional Development and Track 4: Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)/Government providing more than 20 informative and inspirational workshops, featuring presentations from leading industry and subject matter experts. This rich programming was designed to help attendees hone in on their leadership skills, get coveted insights, learn about new industry trends, gather best practices and provide actionable resources and tools to help improve their businesses.
In its 34th year, AMAC’s Annual Airport Business Diversity Conference has grown to be one of the largest aviation conferences in the country uniting industry leaders. The conference continues to bring aviation professionals to discuss a variety of subjects ranging from how to do business at airports to public policy issues impacting the entire aviation industry.
